No. 1 Hybrid Car (Prius) in USA expected to come to India in 2010

In this world of global warming everyone is looking for a green drive & for that the Hybrids are the best option because with the green tag attached to it, the fuel efficiencies also come with it!
Although the Honda civic & Nissan Altima are one of the best hybrids ever known but Toyota Prius is the most popular one across the world & as I said earlier in the headline The Prius is The no. 1 hybrid in USA !In India there is currently only one Hybrid known to us i.e. Honda Civic but it seems by the end of 2010 we will come to know about another hybrid very soon i.e. Toyota Prius.But before the notification of it The Toyota Motors have tested the Prius in India’s Ooty-Mysoore road. If it succeeded in its all values then it will definitely give a sight on Indian Roads.
The Toyota prius which worth’s 11 lacs in Indian currency will cost around 18 to 20 lacs Indian Rupees caused by the huge taxes of Indian Government & hence like the Honda Civic ,The Prius will also be far from a general person’s daily budget.
But still there are some rays of hopes that it will get down its cost more by 2 to 3 lakhs.In summary it will be rarely seen in the metropolitan cities of India.
The Toyota will also launch a sedan as well as a hatchback in 2010 & after that the Lexus will also come to India with its sedan cars. The 2010 will be really an exciting year for Toyota & little bit more for The Honda Motors.
In india we are so sad that the hybrid of honda civic was very expensive but if the prius would come i think there will be some lower price!
